Atlanta- Ritz Carlton Downtown Review

Review of the Ritz Carlton Atlanta:

A great group of mommies decided to surprise our kids with tickets to Taylor Swift in Atlanta for a Christmas present. After a postponed concert, our little ones waited almost a year to enjoy their trip. We had to to make it the best present ever! We decided to book club level rooms at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Atlanta. After a little research, it appeared that this Ritz had recently been rennovated and outshined the one in Buckhead in all aspects except maybe location. However, for us the downtown Ritz was closest to the concert venue so even the location was better.

Arriving in Style at the Taylor Swift Concert

The Ritz in downtown Atlanta was very nice and did not disappoint our group of excited little girls. Upon checkin, the staff gave our girls some really cool Ritz Carlton branded silly bands. They also pointed out that they had a “very special guest” staying in the Hotel that our girls might like to meet. This made for a fun weekend of searching for Taylor Swift who coincidentally was actually staying in the Hotel. We met her dancers and saw her parents, but never got the coveted “Taylor sighting.”

The Club lounge was very nice although not as posh as some of the others I have seen such as the New Orleans and the St Thomas club lounge. However, it was very nicely appointed and the service was top notch. There was a nice area with computers and printers available for the guests use as well.  The staff went above and beyond to remember our names and make sure everyone was taken care of. On the last day Claire got a fever, and the concierge eargly offered to go get her some children’s tylenol at the gift shop.

The rooms were also nice and had the standard Ritz Carlton appointments. I would recommend staying at the Ritz Carlton in Downtown Atlanta for anyone who is going to Atlanta for any downtown activities or just a relaxing weekend.  Hey, if its good enough for Taylor Swift then its good enough for me!

Note: It is about a 15 minute drive to the Phipps and there is not a swimming pool.
